CONCRETE Stamping and Coloring

Concrete stamping and coloring techniques allow you to create a wide range of textures and patterns in your concrete flat work. Enhance the approach to your home with a decorative brick pattern for your entrance walkway. Define your patio by rimming the perimeter in a contrasting texture and color: Greystone will work with you to identify the range of enhancement options available.

Stamping: the art of finishing the surface of concrete flat work with decorative patterns and textures.
Stamping can beused on just about any concrete flat work: sidewalks, patios, steps, driveways and porches.
In some geographic regions, stamping is being used on interior floors to create attractive finishes.
Three traditional patterns are available. Ask to see the Greystone design guide for illustrations.
For dramatic impact, consider using stamping and coloring simultaneously.

Coloring: the art of tinting concrete to achieve warm or cool tones.
Like stamping, coloring can also be used on just about any concrete flat work, including sidewalks, patios, steps, driveways and porches.
Stock colors are available. These are illustrated in color charts available from Greystone suppliers.
Custom colors can be mixed using the options available through the stock color palette.
Colors can be expected to wear without fading throughout the life of the concrete.
Floors are hand troweled two to three times to ensure a level, smooth finish.

Warranty
Shrinkage and hairline cracks are common and should be anticipated in concrete floors, sidewalks, driveways, patios, etc.
Occassional surface blemishes from aggregate "pops" are normal and should also be expected. Greystone allows for three to four "pops" per 10 square foot area.
Greystone will use special concrete repair products to promptly fill any cracks exceeding 3/16" in width.
Concrete is also susceptible to surface spalling from road salt/de-icing salt. Such salt damage is not covered by this warranty.
Driveways: excessive rock pops and scaling are guaranteed not to occur for one year. Driveway sealants are guaranteed for five years.
